My intent is to use this deck to keep trails and overgrowth mowed. Removing the brace will keep the discharge shut from constantly plugging.

Thanks @myerslawnandgarden Bob, My plans are to add bracing. I will look through manuals to see if the bracing shows up in any of the parts or operators manuals. Hopefully a manual on hydrovacs will show the bracing.

Problem about solved. Previous owner had changed out the deck drive pulley with an "A" instead of an EOM. 20240515_092302.jpg Not only was the "A" a tad bigger in diameter 20240515_092711.jpg it is not as tall, and an EOM belt rides out of the groove. 20240515_092621.jpg 20240515...

This is the deck I have been running with the A74 belt and it should probably be an A73. This picture is with the C23359 belt installed.
