Haha, thank you @FUTZ . Good as it may be, the asymmetry rubs me the wrong way. I'd be horrified to push it a little harder too. But surely someone out there appreciates it and doesn't perpetually have the feeling that it's just an "unfinished" project. Talk about cutting corners, eh?

I agree Dave. It was a bit of an eye opener for me that the 5000W generator was struggling a bit with an electric heater of only 1200W and the sump pump on one outlet both. The diesel heater put more heat (5000W) with less effort and more efficiency. Live and learn they say.

Yesterday we woke up with that snow that Dave showed, and no power; sometime during the night a large transformer apparently went bust with flames and sparks and such :!: . The whole area here went dark. As we live in this swamp, the sump pump was important, so the generator was mostly employed for ...
