Re: On the funny side of the street

Haha, thank you @FUTZ . Good as it may be, the asymmetry rubs me the wrong way. I'd be horrified to push it a little harder too. But surely someone out there appreciates it and doesn't perpetually have the feeling that it's just an "unfinished" project. Talk about cutting corners, eh? :D

Re: Ez Adjust Clutch

I have no idea what happens on the other site, lately I have not had the time to visit it. Steve, if you have good advice that sets the record straight about some wrong way of fixing an issue, by all means post it, as it will help someone not make a similar mistake. It would help to provide context ...

Re: On the funny side of the street

Please don't take this as a political anecdote. But I want some of those bushings for my 644, nonetheless I cannot afford them. :109: :D

Re: Did the 446 just dodge a bullet?

Hm.. good mystery here Eugene. My question is, no knocking or otherwise strange sounds? Also, since the mower was connected, maybe the mower was seized temporarily. :wave3:

Good repair Jeff! It's going to last a lot longer than 4 days for sure! !

I used a wet cloth when I welded my rod eyelets too. Worked good. :weld1:

Re: The weather

I agree Dave. It was a bit of an eye opener for me that the 5000W generator was struggling a bit with an electric heater of only 1200W and the sump pump on one outlet both. The diesel heater put more heat (5000W) with less effort and more efficiency. Live and learn they say. :wave3:

Re: The weather

Yesterday we woke up with that snow that Dave showed, and no power; sometime during the night a large transformer apparently went bust with flames and sparks and such :!: . The whole area here went dark. As we live in this swamp, the sump pump was important, so the generator was mostly employed for ...
