The 140 most certainly does. Really an outstanding blower. And honestly, I prefer the 140's control layout over the Case, plus it has real, split brakes...
The JD300, isn't the garden tractor... It's the industrial. Loader in this case, so 40 something hp, and 2000# lift on the loader.

Re: The weather
They've got me in the 6-12 band... Hard to imagine after the last 4 beautiful days we've had... Supposed to be heavy, wet snow. Everything was started, and is sitting with battery chargers overnight. The damn 444 was pumping fuel out the carb. Why, I don't know, but I dropped the bowl, blew everythi...

Re: Living in dread of the dredge...
So... The property is near the base of our mountain. The top of the mountain was basically the western extent of Pennsylvania as it started out. I'm west/north of that, so the mill was outside the colony, and also predates the revolution. It sat between a couple forts that defined the edge, and was ...

Living in dread of the dredge...
I've been chasing a pond company for a couple years now to get my two mill ponds dealt with. The upper eroded, and basically emptied to a swamp, and the lower is on the verge of the same. I've gone back and forth with the owner a couple times, but apparently he's notorious for not getting back to pe...

Re: Snow
I had a March like that several years ago... This is before I inherited my place. My folks would go to Florida for 8 weeks or so in January/Febuary. The farm was set up to just drain and close up, so no big deal. I would go out just before they came back north in March, to make sure the house, and b...

Re: Messing around in the shop
Bob - That was me with the original 6v system on my N. I'm not much help on the 12v conversion in use here unfortunatly, but I put my $0.02 in on the overall N setup... My "big" tractors date from 1970 - 1948, so I'm solidly in the antique tractor owner club, and I get to fight all the ant...

Re: Messing around in the shop
Those inline spark checkers are wonderful things... That's what helped me find the inconsistent spark on the 444. Another thought... My key switch doesn't stop me from hitting the starter button. It'll crank till the cows come home (and there haven't been cows here for over 50 years), but it won't f...

Re: Messing around in the shop
Also... You have fuel flow out the bottom of the carb? Not just at the end of the fuel line? I about lost it until I found the screen on that inlet elbow...

Re: Messing around in the shop
Just as an idiot check, 'cause I've been there... You did open the fuel valve out of the tank again right? Have enough fuel that it ins't in to the "reserve" portion of the tank that requires opening the valve all the way? The N, and the MF 202 are the only things we shut off the fuel valv...
