Harry I see you have only 5 Case GT's, you might want to round that number up one. I know I would give it a look over given the chance.

My only experience with generators was when I bought one from a guy who was parting out an old motor home. His add said it was in working condition so I brought it home and tried to turn it over by hand. No go wouldn't budge. Then I separated the generator part from the engine and found a mouse nest...

Im thinking your talking about the ones that bolt the gear halves together in the rear end. On my 648 and 446 I just inspected them and made sure they were tight. Rear transaxle oil if not already done . Good thinking Dave, just put that on the list. I think I read someplace there's a bolt that should be upgraded to a stronger grade.
