Re: Wood Chipper Improvements
RoamingGnome Great write up, thanks for talking the time to put it together! You made some really nice upgrades. Even though it’s made of Chineseium hopefully you’ll get a good service life out of it. I think you might try the 3 foot tongue. That length might be about right in rough terrain. :thumb...

Re: A/C GT for Dad
David I’m not familiar with AC GT’s. What is the purpose if the wedge on the hood? Is there a hole in the hood that is covers? :peace: Harry We had a bigger Allis tractor at home when I was a kid. Something like these. IMG_5001.png IMG_4998.png The wedge on those was for the steering column and I t...

Re: GT for sale cheap
Harry I think your right, it is a POS, but it is worth the $70 you paid. If it were mine I don’t think I’d be looking at getting it going and selling it on. I would be more interested in repurposing the material for my own needs. What ever you decide to do with it I hope you can take us along on th...

Well I just got back to my office and guess what I find in the dumpster out back? IMG_4993.jpeg IMG_4994.jpeg Apparently someone doesn’t think much of Cub Cadet! I will be shocked and amazed if the trash truck hauls that off More than likely me or the guy that’s has the shop next door will have to p...

Re: Messing around in the shop
We’ve got a full day today in and around the shop so let’s get going! Let’s start by getting the 1941 M out of its winter slumber and ready to go to work. Fluids checked all greased up and ready for duty. IMG_4982.jpeg You know what I like about old tractors, or trucks, or cars? They can sit all win...

Good luck Harry! I hope you bring it home and it’s nicer that you think! As stated I don’t think you can go wrong for $50 bucks or less.

Re: The weather
We just can’t seem to dry up down here. One :!: after another. We got 4 inches yesterday and had a little flash flood. Luckily no damage just a mess to clean up at the end of our driveway and some washouts to fill. The 446 was up to the job of straightening things back out but I worked it hard enoug...

Re: Another thing to look at on my 648
I have a 646 loader which I used to move stone, dirt and wood chips. Then I purchased the 644 loader backhoe, which has been used a lot more. Many times for unusual jobs like pulling trees down moving large evergreen trees and of course digging with the hoe. I’m considering letting the 646 go, but ...
