Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?
I don’t know how many hours they have on them but one has a tag saying it was tested in 1996 and another says 2003 so they have been sitting for a long time. If I can get them working my friend the hauled them for me wants one. And I’d like to use the other three around here. I may use the engine of...

How about a little Farmall Cub action.
Well the doctors said to be careful so I don’t pull my stitches out and keep it clean but they didn’t say anything about riding a tractor. And since I really should plant our sunflowers in the next week or so, and since the plow is already mounted on the Cub…….. IMG_4893.jpeg It was kind of tuff goi...

Anybody have experience with old Gensets?
I came across some old generators that the previous owner was going to throw away. I scooped them up! Since I’m not quite up to par at the moment a friend of mine was nice enough to go pick them up and bring them up to the house for me. IMG_4862.jpeg They are old to be sure but I’m hoping they still...

Re: I got hurt. (Sorry if this is a little graphic)
Thank you for the comments fellas, I appreciate it. No pun intended, but on one hand I feel pretty stupid about this, on the other hand this shouldn’t have been an issue that could have happened. I felt like i was in that horror movie Christine! I did wrap my hand in a bag and go have a look. There ...

Re: Messing around in the shop
This episode of messing around in the shop is from a couple of days ago. The Farmall Cub has been on my mind and I decided it was time to wake it up! I hooked a chain to it and towed it out of hibernation with the 446. IMG_4839.jpeg The poor old cub has been sitting for at least 2 years and probably...

I got hurt. (Sorry if this is a little graphic)
I’m still not sure how this could happen and I thought one of you guys might have some insight. So the 2N lost spark AGAIN! I pulled it into the shop with the 446 and was trying to figure out what the heck could be happening. I had the switch on and was checking voltage to the coil with my meter and...

Re: Did the 446 just dodge a bullet?
Good advice and good stories of some tough engines! I’m enjoying reading your experiences. I’ve had similar situations and have been surprised at how robust an engine can be. I thought I’d throw one out that didn’t quite work. :109: I’ve got a tiller that was my dads and between us using it for year...

Re: On the funny side of the street
On my Facebook feed today. The poor thing never stood a chance. Screenshot_20240415-135303~2.png Wow that’s sketchy, even by my standards! but I guess at least there is some good scrap left over! DavidBarkey I don’t know how popular they were, but International offered a one arm loader for t...
