@DavidBarkey She took those between 9:30 and 10:30 your time.

It’s supposed to be a good show tonight too.
@MattA you might want to check our your local weather. A lot of places in the US have a chance to take a look.

MattA wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 11:13 pm Any idea what kind you planted? We grew some that my kids planted in pots at the local library. They grew (in the ground) to 7 or 8' tall.
These are called Peredovic sunflowers. I got them at the local COOP. I told them I wanted a variety for game birds. Not sure how tall these will get.

Well we are getting a very rare treat down here this evening. I’m not sure how many of you guys up north get to see the northern lights but it’s a first for us. Quite beautiful. My :wife: took some photos I thought I’d share. IMG_4078.jpeg IMG_4077.jpeg IMG_4072.jpeg IMG_4075.jpeg IMG_4067.jpeg

Re: First cutting

@Spike188 hopefully that’s the end of the maintenance items for the season. Or you could always let the grass grow and bale it! :giggle:

We’re in full swing down here. Been mowing for several weeks now.

Re: garden planting

DavidBarkey your way ahead of me. We have good temperatures here with no risk of frost but we can’t dry out. It’s raining again now. The only ground ive worked and planted is that little sunflower patch, and I’m wondering if it’s too wet for them. I’ve got everything ready to go as soon as it stops...

Raw onion , diced onion, sautéd onion, caramelized onion,
French onion soup, creamed onion, baked onion, onion rings, onion dip, onion pie, onion relish, onion casserole ……….

Before declaring victory, you might want to run them under a heavy load close to their rating. The drop light is inspiring, but a heavy load is where it's at. After that, sell 'em off, and buy the right motor for your tiller. (you could wait for a storm, and sell at a premium, but done is good more...

Re: Messing around in the shop

It’s about time to start waking some Farmalls up from hibernation and get ready for their summer workouts! IMG_4933.jpeg I thought I’d start by seeing if I could get the fenders fitted on the Super H. IMG_4932.jpeg I found a plate in the junk pile… I mean my metal storage area! I was able to cut it ...
