Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?
Before declaring victory, you might want to run them under a heavy load close to their rating. The drop light is inspiring, but a heavy load is where it's at. After that, sell 'em off, and buy the right motor for your tiller. (you could wait for a storm, and sell at a premium, but done is good more...

Re: Messing around in the shop
It’s about time to start waking some Farmalls up from hibernation and get ready for their summer workouts! IMG_4933.jpeg I thought I’d start by seeing if I could get the fenders fitted on the Super H. IMG_4932.jpeg I found a plate in the junk pile… I mean my metal storage area! I was able to cut it ...

Re: Unsolicited advice
Well this is why we can’t have nice things! :33: :D Seriously though im thankful no one got hurt. At least since you were the builder, you could reassemble it with out much trouble. I do appreciate the advice, but unfortunately it’s a little late for me. I’ve already gotten myself tangled up in swin...

Re: Anybody have experience with old Gensets?
Thought I’d have a look at the 2 that aren’t making power. I took the back of the generators off and clean the connections and pick up rings then back together and I’ll be darned! IMG_4929.jpeg IMG_4930.jpeg Now all 4 are running and making juice! But now I feel a little bad to scavenge one to power...

Re: What would you do?
ssmewing Maybe a question to ask is, what do you want to do? I don’t get the feeling that you want to quit working on tractors, but if you do there’s nothing wrong with that. If you want to keep working on stuff then it’s a question of how to do it in a way that will work for you. It’s much easier ...

I couldn’t help but pull through the equipment dealers lot and do some daydreaming. Sure are some nice shiny things here I’d love to play with! IMG_4926.jpeg A line from the Andy Griffen show about letting Opie chose for himself come to mind here . ooouuuu shinny .  That was a g...

Sorta heavy disks for the Ford. Did a nice job. How long before they sprout. ? Noel You’re right Noel! That is a Ferguson disc, I think it’s 7 foot, and I have the gangs set for an aggressive cut. The ford will pull it, but it’s about all the 2N wants! I usually pull it with either the Farmall M or...
