I was looking at Powder Coating a few years back and Chevy engine Orange seemed to be a close option. Probably next to each other you could see the difference. Not sure otherwise. Don't trust me, check it for yourself.

Re: 448 Hydraulic Work
I have been watching from afar this fall/winter. Never finished the last pass with the leaf collector, so it hasn't been put away. Obviously, the 448 hasn't had the deck taken off, or the snow blower put on. I tried to talk one of my sons-in-law into helping over Christmas, and we made arrangements ...

Re: Winter cab ventilation
Thanks for that tip! Practical and somewhat easy compared to some of the other ideas I have seen over the years.
Thank you!

Re: Diesel vs gasoline
I have a Cummins in my 2002 Dodge 2500. Over a quarter of a million miles on it. I love it and probably won't own another pickup in my life. I like the 36 gallon fuel tank, and like the fact that I can drive it for 6-7 hours without having to stop for fuel if it is unloaded. This engine was just bef...

Re: 448 Onan starter and more. Let's talk Studebakers!
I have a point here! Years ago I cleaned up the block on my Studebaker Avanti and painted it so it looked nice. A few years later the engine would start well when Cold, but it was a real challenge when hot. I finally pulled the starter and hauled it to an electronics rebuilder. He said nothing wrong...

It just amazes me the number of people will provide a picture that clearly shows "Ingersoll", then will call it an "Ingersoll Rand" in the description.

I have been ducking in and out quickly....
Some of you may be aware that I haven't been upholding my end of this bargin( CCIGT) recently. I have tried to sign in more recently and check up on things, but have not stayed very long. In late February I, like others had my turn with Covid. 2 weeks later I came down with Blood clots in my left le...

Re: Tiller rebuild started
Believe me: those tines have a lot of wear left in them. Those tines are still doing a good job when the tines are very pointed and sharp! I used to till gardens until a few years ago tines were hard to get.
