Re: Painting hood on 444

Harry, You done Good!!!!!!! That looks great. Sometimes it gets frustrating, doesn't it? Particularly after admiring how good that last layer of paint went on, then you topdress it with one last layer (Maybe clear coat), and it goes to crap! Been there, done that!!! You guys have been reading in thi...

Re: Pictures: this moment

Eugen!

I appreciate your comment about my 4118. I did a lot repainting, even when I originally thought it was great! A lot of re-sanding! There were times I was totally upset! But is good enough for me, at this point!

Thanks everybody for looking and expressing your approval.

Renewed Ingersoll 4118

Last night I posted pictures of my 4118 that I had just finished renewing on the "pictures now thread". It is now listed on Market Place for $8500. I don't know what it should be worth, but anyone on this site that is serious about it we can talk! Please for a complete description go to Fa...

Re: Pictures: this moment

I appreciate the likes on this one (4118). I just listed it on Facebook Market Place for $8500. I have no idea what it should be, but I have said "Don't like the price above and you are serious, we can talk".

Probably need to list in Buy Sell group now.

Re: Simple Bearing Press Update

Actually for the front wheel press we used a 1/2" threaded rod and it fit nicely in what we were doing.

Simple Bearing Press

Recently I was replacing the bearings in one of my Case/Ingersoll front wheels, and my friend who often helps we with projects around here said "Put that hammer down". I was going to lightly tap the bearings into the front wheel in front of me. That is what I had done forever on automotive...

Re: Painting hood on 444

Well Harry, My paint jobs with Rustoleum clear coat always look like crap. Often when I would use their black on whatever my primer was, it also looked like crap. Or if I used their primer and came back with Case paint, I had problems. If I use a good automotive primer and forget about the Rustoleum...

Re: Painting hood on 444

HArry, On my 4118 I have discovered "Clear Coat with Hardener" in a spray can. Really makes a nice finish! and after about 2 weeks the hardener has done it's job! Probably the easiest spray pattern I have ever seen from a can! A number of people have already seen it and have commented how ...
