Actually for the front wheel press we used a 1/2" threaded rod and it fit nicely in what we were doing.

Simple Bearing Press
Recently I was replacing the bearings in one of my Case/Ingersoll front wheels, and my friend who often helps we with projects around here said "Put that hammer down". I was going to lightly tap the bearings into the front wheel in front of me. That is what I had done forever on automotive...

Re: Painting hood on 444
Well Harry, My paint jobs with Rustoleum clear coat always look like crap. Often when I would use their black on whatever my primer was, it also looked like crap. Or if I used their primer and came back with Case paint, I had problems. If I use a good automotive primer and forget about the Rustoleum...

Re: Painting hood on 444
HArry, On my 4118 I have discovered "Clear Coat with Hardener" in a spray can. Really makes a nice finish! and after about 2 weeks the hardener has done it's job! Probably the easiest spray pattern I have ever seen from a can! A number of people have already seen it and have commented how ...

Re: What would you do?
Well Steve, you sound like my way of doing things recently. I am 74 years old. Last year starting in mid February I got Covid, 2 weeks later My left leg from the groin down to my LH foot was filled with Blood Clots and some trash in my lungs. They thought it because I had Covid and that was common. ...

Re: Sand blasting and powdercoat
I was looking at Powder Coating a few years back and Chevy engine Orange seemed to be a close option. Probably next to each other you could see the difference. Not sure otherwise. Don't trust me, check it for yourself.

Re: 448 Hydraulic Work
I have been watching from afar this fall/winter. Never finished the last pass with the leaf collector, so it hasn't been put away. Obviously, the 448 hasn't had the deck taken off, or the snow blower put on. I tried to talk one of my sons-in-law into helping over Christmas, and we made arrangements ...

Re: Winter cab ventilation
Thanks for that tip! Practical and somewhat easy compared to some of the other ideas I have seen over the years.
Thank you!
