Just offered $300 for the cab that the guy accepted!!! going to collect Friday or Saturday. Not sure what he will list the 448 for after but the original price of 995 should be more towards 650.. I will check out the rest when I get there.

Nice score on the cab Ray. Accessories like that are getting harder to find separate . Up hear it near impossible , part of the reason I built my own .

Dave, need to see your model too....

I know for sure that that original cab will not meet my needs past 1 winter... I already have a much used cab that I have been drawing ready to share updates ... I like to draw (when I am able through health issues).

When/if I can I will share what I have and improvements too.

Ray you should come and see mine when the weather is milder. I built a hinge system behind the gas tank that bolts to original bolt holes. I added a couple of cables so it only tilts so far. I think you’ll like it. :peace: Harry

Still trying to work this for the cab! The seller is very motivated as Harry said. Might be interested in the whole deal but right now the Cab is my priority. The guy has a couple of people on hold due to the weather in WNY and from my txt with him he is very interested in closing a deal very quickly to the point that money is a big issue NOW!

I offered $300 for just the cab and if I had wanted to send him cash right now via an online app the cab would be mine.. I am afraid not into that without seeing it first and being able to take it with me. Too many scammers...

I agree with you. I don’t count a deal as done till it’s in my driveway. Pictures can be deceiving id want eyes on it too. When I made the deal for my 1939 Farmall M I have to leave it for a couple of weeks due to an ice storm. I was uneasy till I got it home!
Hope you can close the deal on it!

Ray, it would be great to get the whole package. I considered it myself and told a friend about it, but he wasn’t interested. :peace: Harry

So I have been mulling this 448 over in my head for a couple of days now. Texted the poster and have just made a deal to buy the whole package! I was originally going for the cab _ At my age cover is needed!!! When I started really looking though at the package - 448 vintage late 1987-88, S84 snow caster, again late vintage for a three digit with the newer style chain adjuster, and again a late vintage, N46 deck too it was just too good to give up so my fold now has four GT's!. 1979 446 (probably going to sell that in the spring) 1985 448, 1987-8 448, and a 1987 444 that is being built with a B&S 18hp vanguard). I will now have two cabs, 4 decks, a J series, L series and S series snowblower.. plus a lot, I mean a lot of parts!!!
Going to see it tomorrow but already mine. I will bring the cab home with me but I will need to arrange transport for the tractors and implements. Thinking of perhaps just renting a truck with ramps or a truck/SUV with a trailer.
