As you can see, it also has a mechanical fuel pump on top by the carb. I’m guessing it is to prime for starting, as it has a knob to run it. Everything about this thing says old to me.——Metalguy

That looks like an old CCKA or B . I am no expert , Boomer is . But look at this . The heads are consistent with the CCK /A, B . http://enginemastersinc.com/onanrebuild ... mation.htm
The RV genny engine I have is a BG with B43M heads, intakes, ignition ect. upped to 3600 rpm . Makes great power . The CCK... are the same bore and stroke as the BG .
If the engine inside is in good shape , it will make a great short block .

Does anyone have a good source for a CCKA engine gasket set?

This one has no provisions for an oil filter. On that side of the block it only has an allen screw in one hole, nothing else. I'm guessing that hole would be for an oil sender unit? I removed tghe oil filter housing from the side of the bad engine, and the block has channels machined for the filter, and the housing itself has the sender unit in it. I assume it could be machined for the filter housing, but that means a complete teardown to clean out any chips, and I don't want to do that, so I'll probably just live without a filter, and do oil changes more often. -------Metalguy

I have made some progress… I made a block off plate because of the lack of oil filter, and made a muffler as the original one was…rusty and modded. ——Metalguy

Great workmanship! Are the muffler parts laser cut from stainless?
