New head gasket.
My LGT 165 Ford has had a leaking head gasket on it for a while. So $30.00 later I have a aftermarket gasket to put on. When done I should be ready to tear up some ground with the tiller.
Engine was done 7 years ago or so.

Re: New head gasket.
There she’s back together. I’ll let it sit over nite and let things settle, then recheck the torque again tomorrow.

Re: New head gasket.
So today I rechecked all the bolts on the head. Set the wrench at 30 ftlbs, same as yesterday, and they all moved. So she’s done for now.

Did some tilling Monday. So today I rechecked the head bolts. Set wrench at 30ftlbs, same as before, all bolts moved a bit. Should be good now for a while.
But found a broken coil bracket. So have to fix that.

Re: New head gasket.
Tiller works great. Just a trial run here at home before I take it to my sons place. Lot to do there. About two hours worth. But grassing in one garden. Not going to grow as many potato’s this year. Less tilling next year. And I do a couple other gardens for friends and family.
Here at home it’s just two little spots by the side door. Will plant a little green and yellow beans, few beets, lettuce and carrots. I like lettuce on a sandwich. So having it right by the door, I can pick a bit for sandwiches. And the carrots I plant by the foundation. These are my Xmas carrots. I dig them on Xmas day for dinner. No frost there. But have had to dig threw 5’ of snow to get to them. Hehe. Snow helps keep the from freezing. And the fresh smell of carrots on Xmas day is really some thing.
And then a few potatoes in the spot of the right of the door. Carrots, lettuce and beets left side of door. And the few beans at the back.

Re: New head gasket.
Got my coil bracket fixed up. I’m kinda hoping that was the noise I was hearing. It would come and go and when I went looking for it it would stop. Figures.
It would of been shaking for sure. Could see the clean parts in the crack.
Any way, will see how it goes.
