Meanwhile in sunny Southern Ontario we got a dusting... not even enough to cover the grass. Probably a good day for tow truck drivers though

Re: Snow, @$)($@“&!?;
We got more today . As much as I did not want to . I had to fire up the machines , That is when the Blower would finally start . Got to look into that . And put the bucket on Frankie as I still had the forks on . By the time I got the 446 blower tractor going the snow had got real packy and did more pushing snow than blowing . Didn't clog the chute , just packed up in front of it rather than going into the caster . Anyone have any tips for when it does this ??

I have had that happen to the snow caster and my walk behind Sears machine. It packs in front and just won’t go into the blower. I have found if I drive fast into the pile some goes into the blower and then just builds up again. So I have to keep backing up and ramming the pile. So sometimes I think it’s just easier to use the blower as a plow and push the wet heavy snow off the driveway. Harry

It officially winter. We brought out the big blower tonight.
Young guy drove the tractor and I got the shovel and a warm pickup in between.Spike Colt - 9 & 10, Case - 108, 118, 444, 446, 448, 646, 646bh, Ingersoll 4016, 4118AH

You guys up there can keep having all the fun you want in the snow. We were below freezing most of the day today but the forest is back in the 50s into the weekend with a soaking rain. We desperately need the moisture. The only time I like snow over rain is when the temps are near freezing. Working in a rain that cold is just miserable.

My deck is still on too. I also need to clean the carb and clean out the cooling fins. Both require disconnecting the hydraulic pump to remove the various shrouds. I skipped the hydravac this year. Saves a good hour or more when mowing.
I saw a few random flurries this morning on the way to work. No snow here yet. Were back up on the 50's for a few days with rain like JSinMO.

We got a couple of inches on Sunday morning, with barely getting above 20 the last two days it's stuck well but the next couple of days are supposed to get to 40.
I got the deck off and the blower and chains put on the 4118 on Sunday at the cabin so that's ready to go, just have to throw a new battery in it.
The 448 needs the chains and blade put on.
The Blue thing has the blower and bucket on so it's ready to go if needed. It just needs full service done.
