All that crazy wind and no trees down . But you get a little wet snow and boom . The snow is super wet and heavy sticking like glue to everything . The worst part is how it is sitting .

Snow warning is ended. All rain. That’s good. So still will be wet for the next day or two. 10C and sun for Monday. Woo hoo.

Yesterday we woke up with that snow that Dave showed, and no power; sometime during the night a large transformer apparently went bust with flames and sparks and such :!: . The whole area here went dark. As we live in this swamp, the sump pump was important, so the generator was mostly employed for that. Heat through a window from the diesel heater; I must say that is good device to have. Power came back early evening, thank God, and all came back to normal.

We were fortuneate this time no power outages over here . Glad it did not take too long to get your power back . One thing I have learned living out here is that having multible back up systems even if really simple ones are a absolute must for heat , some hydro and water .

I agree Dave. It was a bit of an eye opener for me that the 5000W generator was struggling a bit with an electric heater of only 1200W and the sump pump on one outlet both. The diesel heater put more heat (5000W) with less effort and more efficiency. Live and learn they say. :wave3:

We just can’t seem to dry up down here. One :!: after another. We got 4 inches yesterday and had a little flash flood. Luckily no damage just a mess to clean up at the end of our driveway and some washouts to fill. The 446 was up to the job of straightening things back out but I worked it hard enough to throw a track! :giggle:

I guess that’s what happens when you run in high gear with loose chains!
We have more rain in the forecast, gonna be a late garden planting this year :109: I just hope it dries up so I can cut hay.

Boy that was a hot one . Bigg jump in temp from where it has been . More of the same for the next few days they say with the chance of so :!: and such around . Closed up the house before the heat got it and fired up the little stand up AC unit in the one room and turn the furnace fan to run all the time to move the cool air through the house . Not ideal but because we insulated the day light out of this place it will maitain a comforable temp . We have a complete outdoor kitchen for canning that keeps the heat out of the house . How are you guys managing in there heat .

It was very hot yesterday and they are calling for the same all week. I told my neighbor I would bring my log splitter down to his house to split up his pear tree smoking wood. Now they are calling for 100 percent rain. :43: :peace: Harry
