Re: Where did the shape of the hood come from
DavidBarkey It just came to mind. I can’t swear to it but I think some of the hood - grill assembly on the Case 70 series was fiberglass. Can’t remember if it was just the grill or the hood too. Don’t know if that will make a difference in your work plan but it might be worth asking that salvage ya...

Re: The weather
Well here is the local long range weather forecast. I came across a persimmon tree and had a look at the seeds. IMG_5385.jpeg As the wives tail goes if the inside of the seed is a knife the winter will be bitter cold. If it’s a fork it will be mild. A spoon means a lot of snow. Looks like the persim...

Re: Where did the shape of the hood come from
I think you are correct. I’m certainly no expert in tractor design from the 60s through the 80s but you can look at examples from Oliver, A/C, Massey, JD, Case, IH, Ford and I’m sure others that shows they carried their styling cues through the the whole line up in that era. I would think it was for...

Re: Doing a little autobody today
A danged old Dodge from the 70s with no floor pans? I can’t believe it!  Looking at the pictures made me think back to the cars back then. One of my aunts had a green on green Dart swinger with a slant 6. :barf: Then that reminded me of all the cars that guys were trying to hot rod. Do ...

Re: Coffee Mugs
@thebuildist They look great Bob! I would be interested in one. Is it possible to do a 648LBH? Can you point me to a big clear picture? It can be black and white. But the closer to a factory picture the better. Tractors that are faded and worn are trickier to clean up the picture. Bob Let me look a...
